I wasn't sure if I wanted to add this…but then I thought, "Screw it," and added it anyway. Which was probably the mindset of Vivid Interactive when they released this, honestly. Speaking of "screwing" as the kids say…and as the carpenters say, I guess. Carpenters have screwdrivers………….but anyway, speaking of "screwing," Virtual Vivid is basically an interactive catalog of what I think was supposed to be the full library of Vivid Interactive games to be released on the 3DO. Basically, you'll see what are basically trailers for each game…classics like Immortal Desire and the cleverly-named Sex are here, along with an assortment of trailers for other "games" that I don't think ever saw the light of day. I'm willing to be corrected, but I doubt there are too many Vivid Interactive fanatics that kept track of every 3DO release…and if they did all release, well, then I suppose I have a better understanding as to why the 3DO died as quickly as it did. Anyway, all you can do here is select the video that you want to play, then use the controller like an old-fashioned VHS remote control…except with fewer features. I admittedly didn't watch every video all the way through. I did a lot of fast forwarding…but I did see what looked like a woman flying on a magic carpet with a poorly-done green screen background behind her…that made me chuckle. When you cry as much as you likely will when playing this game, a small laugh like that gives you an opportunity to wipe the tears away.
