Mad Dog McCree was the first game released by American Laser Games that was live-action. It showed up in Arcades in 1990 and quickly gained attention of folks for its use of video. I, personally, never saw it in an arcade. I first saw it at a Colder’s Furniture store where the Phillips CD-I was on display. Being a youngster, and really never seeing video game graphics beyond 16-bits, I was blown away by what I saw. It wasn’t until over a decade later that I managed to get a copy of Mad Dog McCree (this time on Sega CD) for myself. As a fan of cheesy acting, it lived up to my memories and more…unfortunately, gameplay-wise, until I was able to find a light gun to use on the Sega CD, Mad Dog McCree just wasn’t as fun to play as I had remembered. With a light gun, it’s a neat shooter that feels like an arcade game without the need to use quarters. Without a light gun, this game feels like a bit of a chore, since the cursor moves are a snail’s pace. Considering that you need to move that cursor to the lower left corner of the screen to reload, then back towards the center to continue firing away, you’ll likely find yourself getting frustrated. And for consoles like the 3DO and CD-I, where it’s difficult to find a light gun (and you’ll be shelling out a hefty sum when you do find one) you may be stuck playing a game where the cursor won’t move fast enough for you to survive for long. But still, the charm of Mad Dog McCree is its poorly-acted movie scenes, which are ported over very nicely from the arcade…unfortunately, unless you’re lucky enough to own a light gun to go with this game, you may not survive long enough to see too many of those scenes.

Hey, a 3DO adult game that is actually a game!...Well, kind of. And it's still terrible. Mind Teazzer is a very unique blend of adult content and gameplay that you'd find in a Sesame Street video game made for toddlers. Yes, I’m completely serious. Want to see a scene of fornication? Not 'til you solve that match game or complete that jigsaw puzzle, mister...or ma'am...whichever gender you identify as, I suppose. I don’t judge. Anyway, since Mind Teazzer actually makes an attempt to be a game, I'll give it a tad more credit than the other Vivid Interactive games that I’ve played. However, once you beat the ridiculously easy game types, there's not much else to do here unless you're a perverted teenager that just reached puberty, with big ol’ pimples all over your face and a voice that cracks more than a layer of thin ice under the girth of an overweight walrus…and even then, the Kindergarten-level difficulty will likely turn off all but the biggest of perv-o’s. Unless you’re one of those child geniuses…since child geniuses become smarter faster, do they get those frowned-upon adult thoughts faster? Anyway, completing captchas online is more difficult than completing the “puzzles” found here….and quite honestly, depending on the website you visit, solving them may also result in you watching pervy videos. So, if you love solving captchas, but find them to be too difficult, then Mind Teazzer is for you. But, if you hate solving captchas. like most sane human beings, then you’ll probably want to pass on this game.
