When playing games from the 1970s, you don't generally expect to play those games for extended periods of time. You do, however, expect to have some reason to come back and play that game on and off over time. Often the goal of achieving a high score or fast time can make you come back and want to beat your previous record. Jupiter Express, while not necessarily an awful game, lacks any of that. If you're not bored after completing all ten difficulty levels, then you'll be disappointed to find that you've got nothing left to do. There are no scores to try to beat. You have no control over speed, so you can't really go for a fastest time - if you complete all levels without dying, that's the fastest that you can complete this game. So, you're left with a game that's not technically horrible, but also not fun enough to make you want to continue to play and nothing to motivate you to keep playing anyway. The gist of Jupiter Express is that you control a space ship and you want to get from the left side of the screen to the right side of the screen. On your brief travel, asteroids will be flying at you and you need to move your ship up and down to avoid them. On 0, the lowest difficulty, there's only a few that you need to dodge. On 9, the highest difficulty, there's a whole bunch of 'em flying at you. Unfortunately, though, even level 9 is not that difficult - most people will complete it within their first three tries, I would imagine. So with a lack of any replayability, and a pretty low difficulty, it's really hard for me to recommend this game to anyone. If you want a game where you can plow through every difficulty in about 10-15 minutes total, then never want to touch it again, then I suppose Jupiter Express would fit that description quite nicely. Otherwise, I'd avoid this game like you're supposed to avoid the asteroids.
